Paper and Ink Imaginings

You Are My Love Puffin Card

Another gift from Offspring3!

I dotted the “ground” with my Copics – to look like a rocky perch for the puffin pair.

Supplies: Stamps – Avery Elle, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Basic Gray, Real Red, inks – Copic B0000, C1, C3, C5, C7, YR04, YR68, Y18, VersaFine Onyx Black, Satin Red, Smokey Gray, dies – Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangle), Spellbinders (rectangle), embossing folder – Provo Craft, embossing powder – Ranger clear.

Viking Valentine Card

Offspring3 found this stamp for my birthday…with one of the neighbor’s kids in mind. The oldest neighbor kiddo is 5, and she is a chatterbox. She has been a viking the past 2 Halloweens, and she even gets her Daddy to dress up, too.

I made dots with my Copic markers for the ground – I was thinking rocky, dirty terrain, with a little ice/snow mixed in.

Supplies: Stamp – Avery Elle, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Poptone Razzle Berry, Stampin’ Up! Red Glitter, inks – Copic B0000, C00, C1, C3, C5, C7, , E00, E15, E23, E41, E53, E57, N4, N7, W3, W7, T3, Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Inks Hickory Smoke, Tumbled Glass, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangle), Spellbinders (hearts), stencil – Inky Antics, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, twine – MarkerPop.

Sending You Sunshine Note Card

Here is another note card using the Waffle Flower stamp set called Little Sunshine.

I stamped in VersaFine, heat embossed with clear powder, and colored the image using Prismacolor pencils.

Mom Update:  Mom is recuperating at home, she got released on Thursday. The procedure and the hospital stay have really wiped her out. Lots of naps are happening. My Dad is struggling with his Nurse Ratched duties. I am visiting daily to check on both of them (they live 4 miles away, very convenient).

Supplies: Stamp – Waffle Flower, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Close to Cocoa (retired), Daffodil Delight, ink – VersaFine Vintage Sepia, pencils – Prismacolor, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, twine – Martha Stewart.

Teal, Lilac and Olive Belated Birthday Card

I wanted to use the You Are Lovely set from Hero Arts, but not use one of my go to color combinations. SO…I thought for a bit, and pulled out a color combination from some other year. Bermuda Bay, Lovely Lilac, Old Olive. I am 98% happy with the way it turned out. I would be 100% happy with it if I still had a stash of retired Lovely Lilac cardstock to use as the mat.  😉

Supplies: Stamps – Hero Arts, Papertrey Ink, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Bermuda Bay, inks – Stampin’ Up! Bermuda Bay, Lovely Lilac (retired), Old Olive, VersaFine Onyx Black, embossing powder – Ranger Silver Pearl.

Circuit Board Design Birthday Card

This paper is from ScrapBerry’s Edge of Town collection – it is a great collection for masculine cards.

Mom Update:  The brain procedure went well, the neurosurgeon was happy with the result he was able to achieve with the coiling procedure. She is still in the hospital as I am setting this to post on Thursday AM.

Supplies: Stamp – Stampin’ Up!, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, ScrapBerry Edge of Town, Stampin’ Up! Basic Gray, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, die – Lawn Fawn, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, linen thread – Stampin’ Up!.

Botantical Collage Birthday Card

When I stamped the background collage for Offspring3’s birthday card a few weeks ago, I stamped multiple sheets of the collage (the MISTI made that easy!).

This version was stamped using Simon Says Stamp inks in Hot Mama (a dark orchid) and Deep Purple. The inks are new to me. I was THRILLED to find my blended ink color matched a piece of Plum Punch card stock I had in my stash.

I have had an entire set of Stampin’ Up! Classic Ink Pads forever. I did update to the “new” Stampin’ Up! foam pads in 2012, and, alas, while I have gotten my money’s worth out of these ink pads, it is time to reink or buy new ink pads. The pads I have reinked have changed color (gone darker), which doesn’t make me a happy camper. Ink pads are a big investment, so I am going to be researching other brands that have come onto the market since I made my original investment in 2002.

And here is a birthday note card I made out of the leftover collage:

If you don’t mind, think good thoughts for my family again today! I will be back at the hospital with my parents, my mother is having a procedure called Endovascular Coiling for her unruptured brain aneurysm.

Supplies: Stamps – Essentials by Ellen, Papertrey Ink, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Taylored Expressions Plum Punch, inks – Simon Says Stamp Deep Purple, Hot Mama, VersaFine Onyx Black, die – My Favorite Things, embossing powders – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, Ranger Liquid Platinum, organdy ribbon – Offray.

Alpaca My Scarf Cards

Offspring3 is very generous about feeding my inner stamping monster! She has recently become enamored of the small clear stamp sets that cost less than $5. Most companies have some offering in that range.

This alpaca set is by Lawn Fawn – ADORABLE.

I stenciled snow around the alpaca, and I used my MISTI to get the individual sentiments straight and well spaced.

This is a perfect card for this winter – the past few weeks have been SO COLD. BRRRRRRRR! (I am typing this at 6:00 AM on January 7, 2018 – it is 3 degrees on my outdoor thermometer (suction cupped to the kitchen window)! I later heard the official low at the airport 10 miles east of us was 1 degree.)

And, of course, I finished a second version of this card before getting my photography done:

Supplies: Stamps – Lawn Fawn, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Bashful Blue (retired), Real Red, Soft Sky, inks – Copic E41, E51, R29, Stampin’ Up! Bashful Blue (retired), Soft Sky, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Spellbinders, stencil – My Favorite Things (Snowfall), embossing folder – Provo Craft, embossing powder – Ranger clear.
