Sparkly Watercolor Blooms Birthday Card

(click on any photo to enlarge)

This card was for Cousin Pati’s birthday last week.

I had a horrible time with the photography – it was a bright sunny day, but too much glare. Hard to get the sparkle without the glare. This second photo shows the sparkle, but the color is a bit wonky.

Supplies:  Stamps – Essentials by Ellen, My Favorite Things, paper – Canson watercolor, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Rich Razzleberry, inks – VersaFine Onyx Black, VersaMark, die – Simon Says Stamp, watercolors – Kuretake Gansai Tambi, embossing powders – Filigree Fine Art clear, Ranger Silver Pearl.

Cat Pattern Birthday Card

Made this card for someone who loves cats and has an October birthday. The Spooky Night paper (purchased several years ago on clearance) just seemed perfect.

Supplies:  Stamp – Papertrey Ink, Paper – Curious Metallics Shadow, Papertrey Ink Vintage Cream, Stampin’ Up! Spooky Night, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, die – My Favorite Things, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, twine – Stampin’ Up!

Slimline Fall Birthday Card

The crafting companies have been showing lots of slimline cards the last 2 months. As if they were newly invented.  😉

As always, I struggle with birthday cards for the men in my life. This was made for one of the MANY October birthdays in my family.

Supplies:  Stamps – Papertrey Ink, Taylored Expressions, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Desert Storm, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Marina Mist, inks – Gina K Designs Cherry Red, VersaFine Crimson Red, dies – My Favorite Things (leaves), Papertrey Ink (birthday), Talyered Expressions (banner), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

Foiled Peonies Just Because Card

While I had my laminator warmed up to make my Mom’s birthday card a few weeks ago, I had to make something using this Rainbow Shattered Glass foil.

SO sparkly!

Supplies:  Stamp – Essentials by Ellen, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, Pool Party, ink – VersaMark, stencil – Simon Says Stamp, die – Simon Says Stamp, foil – iCraft/ThermOWeb Deco Foil Rainbow Shattered Glass, embossing powder – Ranger Super Fine Detail white.

Blended Backgrounds with Spanish Script Cards

I did these a few weeks ago, with the other Hola! cards.

Supplies:  Stamps – Cornish Heritage Farms, Technique Tuesday, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Pop Tone Sour Apple, Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy, Wisteria Wonder, Strathmore Bristol, inks – Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Inks Shaded Lilac, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, VersaFine Clair Twilight, stencils – Newton’s Nook (shells), Simon Says Stamp (daisies), dies – Essentials by Ellen (hello), Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangle), My Favorite Things (pierced rectangle), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder.

Pale Pink Floral Square Birthday Card

This is for a good friend with a birthday in early October. Happy that I thought ahead. I usually scramble on September 29th to complete it and get it in the mail because “HOW DID IT GET TO BE THE END OF SEPTEMBER??!!”

My goal was really pale pinks and greens. I intentionally did not add color to the center of any of the flowers.

Supplies:  Stamps – Avery Elle, Newton’s Nook, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, Pink Pirouette, inks – Copic G00, G0000, R11, R20, R21, R81, RV11, YG03, VersaFine Onyx Black, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

A Card for Mom – Version 2

This is another card I made for Mom’s birthday.

I used a stencil to apply transfer gel, when that was dry, I ran it through my laminator with reactive foil.

Always difficult to capture foil in a photo!

And I found my Kindle charging cord the 5th time I checked my computer bag (how it traveled to/from vacation).

Supplies:  Stamp – Papertrey Ink, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy, Pool Party, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, die – Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangle), foil – Heidi Swapp Minc, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

A Card for Mom – 2020 Version 1

ANOTHER wildflower birthday card – this one is for Mom.

How are things with you?

Things here are OK. It has been a really odd week already (and it is only Tuesday!). I am not crafting much at all.

And if anyone has seen my Kindle charging cord, please let me know.  🙂

Supplies:  Stamps – Essentials by Ellen, paper- Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Garden Green, inks – Copic G46, R29, R39, V04, YG25, YG95, YR68, Y13, Y17, VersaFine Onyx Black, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

Ink Blended Hola Cards

As I have mentioned, I am struggling with creative mojo. Last week, I had an overwhelming desire to just sit and blend ink. This happened.

YAY!

Have a great day!

Supplies:  Stamps – Cornish Heritage Farms, Technique Tuesday, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy, Strathmore Bristol, inks: Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Inks Broken China, Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass, Wilted VIolet, VersaFine Clair Twilight, VersaMark, dies – Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangle), Spellbinders (flower), Technique Tuesday (hola), stencil – Heidi Swapp, embossing powders – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, Ranger Super Fine Detail white.

Plaid Sympathy Card

I needed to make this quickly for my Mom to drop in the mail.

As always, sympathy cards are difficult. Do you make the card to appeal to the person you are sending it to? Or to reflect the person they lost?

This one reflects the person who passed away.

Supplies:  Stamps – Essentials by Ellen, Taylored Expressions, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Pear Pizzazz, Sahara Sand, inks – Stampin’ Up! Marina Mist (retired), VersaFine Clair Twilight, dies – Hero Arts (leaves), Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangle), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder.
