Live Laugh and Love Card – TYIC#29

Here is my effort for the latest Tag You’re It! Challenge (TYIC#29) .

I embossed the Solar White layer with a Darice embossing folder, and colored the embossed waves with ink pads and a blender pen. The sentiment is stamped in VersaFine ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I added die cut sea shells to my tag, and twine with a gold thread in it.

“A Little Birdie Told Me” Paint Chip Card

Here is my take on the most recent Tag You’re It Challenge (#28) .

I used my new Essentials by Ellen Wish Big stamp set, and the sentiment “A little birdie told me” leaves it open for interpretation – birthday card? congratulations card? I can decide later.

I die cut two different paint chips with the tag die, and layered them to be sky/grass. I used one thread for all of the balloons, rather than having individual strings for the bird to hold.

Butterfly Tag Birthday Card – Tag You’re It! Challenge #26

I can’t pass up a challenge with a butterfly tag for inspiration, can I? And I apologize for the angled shots in this post – the only way I could get the blue foil to show was to shoot a bit from the side.

The current Tag You’re It! Challenge (#26) has this cute tag for inspiration:

I used my laminator to foil a bit of Heidi Swapp MINC sheet and die cut a butterfly from the foiled piece. The butterfly tag is stamped, the dotted tag is DSP.

And, I made it into a card.

Floral Birthday Tag Card – Tag You’re It Challenge #25

The latest Tag You’re It Challenge (#25) caught my eye.

Here is the inspiration tag:

I kept some of the elements (flower, edge stripes, greeting banner, ink blending), and added new elements (dry embossing, watercoloring). And mounted it onto a top fold card.

The white tag front and the green layer are both embossed with the same embossing folder. I watercolored along the embossing on the white tag with green ink to make it my flower stem.

You’re Amazing Card – Tag You’re It! Challenge #15

Here is my effort for the latest Tag You’re It! Challenge (#15) .

The inspiration, by Donna Mikasa:

I was leaning towards another literal interpretation (different shape, watercolored…), but then changed gears. I did stamp my flowers in multiple colors, but I was inspired by the tag treatment on  this card by Heather Campbell, posted on Ellen Hutson’s The Classroom blog.

Instead of using foam tape under my tag, I built up layers of cardstock – and I used the colors that matched the colors of the flowers.

Cream and White Wedding Card – Tag You’re It Challenge #14

The current Tag You’re It Challenge (#14) inspired my Tone on Tone Wedding Card earlier this week (but, the card did not contain a tag, so I couldn’t enter it in the challenge). Since that original card disappeared from my card basket already, I thought I would try to create another wedding card, similar to the first, with a tag in the design.

I combined cream and white, and used platinum embossing powder. And that platinum layer between the cream & white? I embossed just the edges of a piece of lightweight cardstock with the same platinum embossing powder.

Spring Inspired Thinking of You Card

I’ve decided I am ready for spring! Let’s just skip Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, and move right on to April.

I created this tag for the Tag You’re It! Challenge #13 earlier this week, and I knew I would use it on a card. I embossed a soft yellow layer, and mounted the tag on top.
