Offspring3 has commissioned a set of thank you note cards for one of her friends. The parameters are greens and blues, nature or outdoors (not floral).
Supplies: Stamps – Hero Arts, paper – American Crafts Amy Tangerine On A Whim, DCWV No Prob Llama, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Pool Party, inks – VersaFine Onyx Black, VersaFine Clair Twilight, dies – Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangle), Simon Says Stamp (banner), embossing powder – Stampendous Detail clear.
I got a new snowflake stencil from Gina K. Designs last week, and I combined it with a GKD wreath maker template that had smaller snowflakes. After the stencil inks were dry, I stamped Hero Arts snowflakes in VersaMark and covered with good old Iridescent Ice embossing powder from Stampin’ Up. I finished with a sentiment and a few sequins.
Supplies: Stamps – Hero Arts, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Soft Sky (retired), inks – Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Inks Broken China Mermaid Lagoon, Tumbled Glass, VersaMark, dies – My Favorite Things (pierced rectangle), Taylored Expressions (tag), sequins – Pretty Pink Posh, embossing powders – Stampendous Detail clear, Stampin’ Up! Iridescent Ice, ribbon – Ellen Hutson (gift with order).
Someone in my husband’s family is getting married next week.
I based my color and design choices on the invitation we received. (I looked it up online – the design is available from VistaPrint.)
I used the navy, the floral theme (I don’t have roses), and the oval shape.
Stamping on dark cardstock is a lot of work! Each flower or leaf was stamped first in white, then in at least one layer of color. I would not have been able to do this without my MISTI for repeat stamping.
Supplies: Stamps – Hero Arts, Inky Antics, Paper Salon, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy, Stardream Metallics Copper, inks – Copic RV11, Hero Arts Unicorn, Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Inks Fired Brick, Mowed Lawn, Picked Raspberry, Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Oxide Ink – Picked Raspberry, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Simon Says Stamp (rectangle), Spellbinders (ovals), embossing powder – Stampendous Detail clear.
Here are the finished results of some of the coloring I had posted a few weeks ago.
So…Thanksgiving is coming. Anyone else in a bit of a panic about how much needs to be accomplished between now and then??? I just keep telling myself to BREATHE.
