Cherry Floral Belated Birthday Card

Sunday afternoon, while ironing, I had the sudden epiphany that I had missed someone’s birthday. And I had less than an hour to make a card.

(Which, if you are wondering…an hour is plenty of time to make a beautiful card if the card you are working on has no deadline! If I am working a deadline, an hour isn’t enough because I make multiple errors along the way!  This is the 4th iteration of floral background!)

I did try to add some randomly placed gold sequins, but after 10 minutes and 2 different sizes of sequins, I was not happy with any arrangement. Less is more, right??

Supplies:  Stamps – Altenew, Papertrey Ink, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Cherry Cobbler, inks – Gina K. Designs Cherry Red, VersaFine Vintage Sepia, embossing powder – Stampendous Detail Gold, organdy ribbon – Offray.

Cherry and Lilac Floral Mother’s Day Card

This is a Mother’s Day card that I made for my Mom. The “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment is embossed inside.

I am trying to get settled back into a routine since returning from vacation – I have conquered all of my chores, but I am struggling with my creativity. And I can’t seem to get enough sleep! (I think that is more allergy related than jet lag? Maybe just a combination of both.)

Supplies:  Stamps – Essentials by Ellen, Gina K. Designs, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Pop Tone Sour Apple, inks – Gina K. Designs Amalgam, Cherry Red, Jelly Bean Green, Wild Lilac, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Spellbinders, embossing powder – Stampendous Detail clear.

Jet Trails Thinking of You Note Card

This background paper reminded me of Offspring2 and his time lapse photography.

Here is one of his photos:

The photo was taken in our front yard, the dotted lines are star trails (created by the rotation of the earth within the time lapse period), the curved trails are planes going out of BWI.

Here is a link to his portfolio if you are interested in seeing more of his work:  Jonathan’s portfolio  .

Supplies:  Stamp – Papertrey Ink, paper – Carta Bella Passport, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, die – Stampin’ Up!, embossing powder – Stampendous Detail clear.

Peace Within Lilac and Orchid Note Card

I have seen a larger dandelion type flower on someone’s blog within the last week – maybe a new release?  WAIT! It’s part of a new Essentials by Ellen set that Julie Ebersole posted. (I have to admit, the sets with hands freak me out a bit – would never buy a hand set.)

ANYWHO…seeing the other dandelion made me pull out my old Stampin’ Up! heart dandelion stamp. I used markers to color the stamp. And I omitted the blowing dandelion seeds on my stamp by not coloring them.

Supplies:  Stamps – Papertrey Ink, Stampin’ Up!, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, Lovely Lilac (retired), inks – Stampin’ Up! Lovely Lilac (retired), Old Olive, Orchid Opulence (retired), VersaFine Onyx Black , embossing powder – Stampendous Detail clear.
