For Offspring1, in honor of all of the dinosaur books we read.
I die cut the volcano shape out of the teal paper, and inset the Copic colored volcano into the teal paper. I popped the pterodactyl up on some foam tape (hoping that it gives the perspective that he is flying way above the spewing lava).

Really, I only need punny Valentine cards! The cornier the better!
(And to my Chemistry savvy friends – I am aware that the image is NOT the proper diagram for an ion – I hope you will forgive me. The closest I could get with my stamps!)

This is the card I made for my parents to mail this year.
Are my cards done? Not even started! My annual calendar is printed & assembled – so I am ahead there.
Supplies: Stamps – A Muse Art Stamps, My Favorite Things, paper – My Favorite Things Field Day, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, PopTone Sour Apple, Stampin’ Up! Real Red, inks – Copic 100, B0000, C1, G03, R29, YG23, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Simon Says Stamp (banner strip), Spellbinders (square), embossing folder – Provo Craft, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.
I started this with the peonies being only blended Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink – but they just did not show up that well. I added Wild Honey Distress Ink, and WOW! They came to life!
Another card from the “mother-in-law requested birthday cards” collection.
Supplies: Stamp – Clearly Besotted, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Crushed Curry, Strathmore Bristol, inks – Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Inks Shabby Shutters, Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey, VersaFine Onyx Black, stencil – Simon Says Stamp, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, organdy ribbon – Offray.
Offspring1 took a job opportunity on the other coast, and he and his girlfriend just moved recently.
Very proud of him, very happy for them, very excited for their new adventure.
The sentiment is not as wonky in person (I did redo the sentiment after the photo – it was better, still not perfect – tiny sentiment stamps are difficult!).
I also made a pastel version of this – just because my Copics were speaking to me after the first image was colored. Sentiment TBD because I couldn’t commit to blocking any of the pastel buildings!
Supplies: Stamps – PinkFresh Studio, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Tempting Turquoise (retired), Curious Metallics Blueprint, inks – Copic (dark version) B24, B39, C1, C3, C5, C7, Y18, (pastel version) B00, BG01, BV00, G00, R20, VersaFine Onyx Black, die – Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangle), Simon Says Stamp (banner), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.
