Pink and Black Buffalo Check Note Card

This was sent off to a dear friend.

How are your holiday preparations proceeding? The offspring helped decorate the Christmas tree over the weekend. And I printed my wall calendars (3 – 2 for gifts, 1 for here). I still have not completed a holiday card – good thing I have lots of sentiments to choose from because HAPPY NEW YEAR is looking more and more appropriate!

Supplies:  Stamp – Papertrey Ink, paper – Crate Paper Falala, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Pink Pirouette, Real Red, Wild Wasabi (retired), ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Reverse Confetti (holly, berries), Simon Says Stamp (banner), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

Checked Gift Tags

I allotted my morning time on Wednesday to gift tags, and I got 7 made, along with a note card.

This checked paper is from last year’s Crate Paper Falala pad.

Here are the backs of the tags.

You can see on the middle one there was a rogue dot from some other die cut – I got quite a nice impression.

The red snowflake is one out of the pile I had after finishing my parents’ Christmas cards.

Supplies:  Stamps – Hero Arts, paper – Crate Paper Falala, My Favorite Things Field Day, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Real Red, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Lawn Fawn (tag), My Favorite Things (outstitched rounded rectangle, snowflake), Reverse Confetti (holly), sequins – Doodlebug Designs, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, metallic cord – Paper Mart.

Christmas Around the World Quilted Gift Tags

I bought this paper on clearance, and now I am thinking that most of it is too dark. (and I don’t have any wrapping paper that it coordinates with – when has THAT ever stopped me??!).

ANYWAY, the tags are double sided. My photos don’t match because I forgot to take the photo of the back until after dinner (in the basement – not natural light!).  The paper is really white.

Supplies:  Stamps – Scrapbook.com, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Christmas Around the World DSP, Real Red, Stardream Metallics Gold, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – My Favorite Things (hole protector), Reverse Confetti (quilted tag), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, metallic cord – Paper Mart, twine – Offray

Sleigh Dog Note Card

I fell in love with this quilted tag die from Reverse Confetti. I really do have a lot of ideas for it – I hope you don’t get tired of seeing it!

I cut my sky & snow paper with the hillside die, then glued them both onto a piece of scrap paper, to be cut with the quilted tag die.

How are you doing on your holiday tasks? I am WOEFULLY behind. Ugh. When am I really going to learn to make my own holiday cards in July???

Supplies:  Stamp – Newton’s Nook, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Shine Pearl, Stardream Metallic Aquamarine, Silver, inks – Copic E33, E53, R20, R29, 100, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Impression Obsession (snowflakes), Lawn Fawn (stitched hillside), Newton’s Nook (dog), Reverse Confetti (quilted tag), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, twine – MarkerPOP.

Baby Deer Holiday Tag

I have not been very crafty in the last week. I made this quickly on Sunday morning to have something to put into a blog post.

Did you catch any exceptional Black Friday sales? I did some online shopping, and was satisfied to get the discounts I got. (I wonder if Cyber Monday discounts will be larger???)

Supplies:  Stamps – Hero Arts, Lawn Fawn, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Shine Pearl, Stampin’ Up! Pool Party, inks – Copic E21, E33, E53, VersaFine Clair Twilight, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Lawn Fawn (deer, stitched hillsides), Reverse Confetti (tag), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, navy grosgrain ribbon – Stampin’ Up! (retired).

Night Sky Woodland Animals Birthday Card

Offspring2 celebrated a birthday recently. He is the photographer, two of his favorite subjects are night skies and critters.

I blended the sky onto Strathmore Bristol paper (blends so easily on this smooth surface!), and when it was dry, I flicked Kuretake white pearl paint onto it. I did struggle with how to ground the scene – I finally decided on a strip of green paper covered with die cut leaves.

Supplies: Stamps – Lawn Fawn, Reverse Confetti, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Always Artichoke (retired), Bravo Burgundy (retired), Brushed Silver, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry, More Mustard (retired), Pumpkin Pie, Shimmery White (retired), Strathmore Bristol, inks – Copic E15, E19, E21, E33, 100, Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Inks Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, Salty Ocean, VersaFine Onyx Black, Vintage Sepia, dies – Lawn Fawn (animals), My Favorite Things (leaves, pierced rectangle), Spellbinders (circle), watercolor – Kuretake Gansai Tambi, embossing powder – Spellbinders Detail clear.
