Stenciled Posies Mother’s Day Card

Frantically trying to get Mother’s Day cards ready for my Mother and Mother-in-law. I didn’t pay attention to the calendar. YIKES! Mother’s Day is Sunday.

This one is for my Mom.

Clean and Simple Hello Cards

My mother in law requested more greeting cards recently. I have been busy with non-crafty things, and my first thought was “I don’t really have time”.

Then, as luck would have it, Ellen Hutson posted a video by Julie Ebersole that inspired my simple layout.

Supplies:  Stamps – Essentials by Ellen, Newton’s Nook, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, inks – Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Oxide Abandoned Coral, Salty Ocean, VersaFine Onyx Black, embossing powder – FIligree Fine Art Powder clear.

Softball Themed Birthday Card

My Dad celebrated his birthday over the weekend. His softball season has started again, it is almost all he talks about, so I (yet again!) went with a softball theme for his card. Note to self – find some new sports themed stamps for next year!

I die cut a circle and drew in the stitches in Prismacolor pencil. I hope it doesn’t look like I recycled a card I made for him while in elementary school. I didn’t have all these supplies back then!

I procrastinated until the last minute on this. Well, part  procrastination (kept hoping for a different idea!), part working on other things.

Supplies:  Stamp – Papertrey Ink, paper – My Favorite Things Field Day, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Desert Storm, ink – VersaMark, dies – Simon Says Stamp (banner strip), Spellbinders (circle), embossing folder – Stampin’ Up!, embossing powder – Ranger Super Fine Detail white.

Springtime means wedding anniversaries for both sets of parents here. I made similar cards for both couples this year.

Supplies:  Stamp – Stampin’ Up!, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Kaleidoscope DSP, Painted Blooms DSP, Basic Gray, Marina Mist, Night of Navy, ink – VersaMark, dies – Papertrey Ink (numbers), Reverse Confetti (tag), Simon Says Stamp (banner strip), Taylored Expressions (tag), embossing folder – Stampin’ Up!, jewels – Swarovski, sequins – Doodlebug Designs, embossing powder – Ranger Super Fine Detail white.

Pastel Watercolored Bouquet Birthday Card

I found this stamped piece in one of my folders, and since it turned out to be Bristol cardstock, I did a bit of pale watercoloring with my ZIG pens. I do like how pale it turned out.

Basic Black, Strathmore Bristol, inks – VersaFine Onyx Black, VersaMark, ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens Brown (060), Cobalt Blue (031), Light Green (041), Light Violet (081), Orange (070), Yellow (050), die – Simon Says Stamp, embossing powders – Ranger Super Fine Detail white, Stampendous Detail clear.

Hummingbird Trio Birthday Card

This was created for my mother-in-law’s recent birthday.

Supplies:  Stamps – Newton’s Nook, Papertrey Ink, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, PopTone Razzle Berry, Sour Apple, Stampin’ Up! Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape, Soft Sky, Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi, inks – Copic B02, BG20, V15, VersaFine Onyx Black, VersaMark, dies – My Favorite Things (pierced rectangle), Newton’s Nook (flowers, hummingbird), embossing powders – Ranger Silver Pearl, Stampendous Detail clear.

Butterfly Wreath with Embossed Background Birthday Card

I really like all of the texture on this card!

I put away my papercrafting supplies for 2 days and made some different face masks to try for personal use (not for sale).

I mass produced the pleated style last spring and summer for family members. We all need some fresh masks – elastic is stretched, washing wear & tear. The clam shell one is white muslin – I had too many sizes to chose from, and I didn’t want to waste pretty fabric if I guessed wrong.

Supplies:  Stamps – Essentials by Ellen, Reverse Confetti, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, Highland Heather, inks – Copic V04, Y35, YG25, YR68, VersaFine Onyx Black, VersaMark, dies – Reverse Confetti (tag, wreath), embossing folder – Provo Craft, embossing powder – Ranger Super Fine Detail white, Stampendous Detail clear.

Repurposed Lilly Pulitzer Paper Encouragement Cards

BLOG MILESTONE:

This is post number 2,000.

I started blogging back in 2013 – it seems a lifetime ago.

Thanks for all of your comments and likes!

Back in 2016, I did a post titled Trash to Treasure – Lilly Pulitzer , about using a cut up advertisement as background paper.

I still have some of the wrapping paper and cut up advertisement, and I used it for some new encouragement cards. Aren’t these sentiments great??

I did two coats of the white embossing powder to get complete coverage.

Supplies:  Stamps – Essentials by Ellen, Simon Says Stamp, paper – Lilly Pulitzer, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, Night of Navy, Pacific Point, inks – VersaFine Onyx Black, VersaMark, dies – Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangle), My Favorite Things (pierced rectangles), embossing powders – Ranger Super Fine Detail white, Stampendous detail clear.
