Dino-Mite Birthday with Bokeh Background Card

Here is the last of the citrus blended backgrounds (for now!). After it was dry, I stamped circles with white ink. The white ink is really subtle.

Supplies:  Stamps – Lawn Fawn, My Favorite Things, Stampin’ Up!, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Desert Storm, inks – Copic YG000, YG23, YR04, Hero Arts Unicorn, Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Inks Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, Twisted Citron, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangle), Spellbinders (circles), embossing powder – Stampendous Detail clear.

A Friend Like You Poppy Card

Another citrus blended background here. The California Super Bloom (California’s state flower is the Golden Poppy, it grows wild, and the fields are ablaze with gorgeous poppies!) has been in the news, so I stamped over the background with my poppy stamp.

Supplies:  Stamps – Gina K. Designs, Stampin’ Up!, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy, inks – Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Ink Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, VersaFine Clair Twilight, dies – Spellbinders, embossing powder – Stampendous Detail clear.

Have a Beautiful Day Bouquet Card

(as always, click on any photo to enlarge!)

Last week, Jenny at gingerninjacrafts blog made a card called Cocktail Friday .

I really loved the combination of citrus colors, and used them in a card. Thanks, Jenny, for the inspiration!

I first stamped the bouquet in a really light ink and heat set it. I wanted to be able to blend the individual flowers – difficult because they are small. After heat setting the blended colors, I stamped the bouquet again in a brown ink and embossed with clear powder.

Supplies:  Stamps – Avery Elle, Hero Arts, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Desert Storm, inks – Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Inks Antique Linen, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, VersaFine Vintage Sepia, die – Avery Elle, embossing powder – Stampendous Detail clear, twine – Martha Stewart.
