Flower Basket Bike Birthday Card

This is for my longest friend…she is not by age my oldest friend, but I have known her the longest. She moved into our neighborhood when I was in 4th grade (she was in 5th). My family moved to another state when I was in 5th grade. My longest friend and I have kept in touch all of these years by letter and now e-mail, Facebook, and the occasional phone call. I do treasure her, and I really hope that I have conveyed that sentiment over the years!

Stowaway Cards

Offspring3 went to Spain for 5 weeks this summer for a study abroad program.

#missedher

Of course I stashed some cards in her suitcase. For the times that Skype and Facebook messaging were not quite tactile enough.

Most of the cards contain an image or paper that she has gifted me.

This month, the Essentials by Ellen Mix It Up Challenge is using the BCRF (Breast Cancer Research Foundation) stamp and die set, Courage, that was released recently.

I made a background of pinks and green, and mounted a sentiment on top of that. A few sequins, and I was done.

Green Galore (retired), Pink Passion (retired), Pixie Pink (retired), VersaFine Onyx Black, die – My Favorite Things, sequins – Pretty Pink Posh, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, organdy ribbon – Offray.
