For this card, I embossed a scallops die (Essentials by Ellen) instead of die cutting with it. I like the background texture it created.

Washi Encouragement Note Card

I stumbled upon a small pack of Pinkfresh Studio Felicity washi stickers (these were free with an order last year? Maybe Simon Says Stamp?) in my paper storage on Monday – a quick and easy encouragement note card was born.

And, if you have clicked to enlarge the photo and noticed the tiny strand of pink lint behind the washi tape (next to the sentiment), you will be happy to know that I spent 10 delicate minutes peeling back the tape and removing the strand. Alas, I was not motivated to take a new photo.  🙂

Supplies:  Paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Bermuda Bay, washi stickers – Pinkfresh Studio Felicity, sequins – Pretty Pink Posh.

Floral Wreath Birthday Card – Ellen Hutson June 2018 Color Trend Challenge

I dug deep and finally completed another challenge. This is for the Ellen Hutson June 2018 Color Trend Challenge .

Here is the inspiration:

In reality, I loved everything on the inspiration board, but thought I would execute something too close to the inspiration. So, I stuck to it being a color challenge.

I cut a 5 inch square of white cardstock, and used my homemade wreath builder tool to build the wreath on my MISTI. After I was done stamping, I did trim 1/8th of an inch from each side, to give me space for the black mat.

I have stashed it away for personal use.

Supplies: Stamps – Clearly Besotted, Essentials by Ellen, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, inks – Hero Arts Unicorn, Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Inks Chipped Sapphire, Crushed Olive, Lucky Clover, Mowed Lawn, Shaded Lilac, Tumbled Glass, Wild Honey, Wilted Violet, die – Spellbinders, sequins – Pretty Pink Posh, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder white.

Blended You Make My Heart Flutter Card

I blended two Distress Oxide inks over a stencil for this background.

Supplies: Stamp – My Favorite Things, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Poptone Razzle Berry, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, Stardream Metallics Flame, inks – Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Oxide Inks Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Impression Obsession, stencil – Neat & Tangled, sequins – Pretty Pink Posh, embossing powder – Ranger clear.

Rustic Botanicals Mother’s Day Card

It is so hard to make something with this many individual stamped images without making mistakes, even with a MISTI! This was my 3rd try, and there are still flaws. Alas, I covered the biggest one with the sentiment strip, and used a sand eraser to get rid of most of another.

Supplies: Stamps – Essentials by Ellen, Stampin’ Up!, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Cameo Coral (retired), Lovely Lilac (retired), inks – Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Ink Abandoned Coral, Mowed Lawn, Seedless Preserves, Squeezed Lemonade, Wilted Violet, VersaFine Onyx Black, die – Lawn Fawn, sequins – Pretty Pink Posh, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.
