Blended Floral You’re On My Mind Card

I know I posted this sentiment not too long ago, but I needed a thinking of you card.

Late in July I purchased a small set of blending brushes from The Stamp Market (The set of 3 was on sale for $11.99 – I had never tried brushes before.), this was my first time inking one of them. The brush did seem to apply ink easier than the Tim Holtz mini blending tool (I don’t have a dedicated sponge for each color, so that may be a factor). Not sure if my wrist liked the motion of the brush, though.

Supplies:  Stamp – Stampin’ Up!, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, inks – Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Inks Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade, VersaMark, die – Lawn Fawn, stencil – Dylusions, sequins – Doodlebug Designs, embossing powder – Ranger Super Fine Detail white, organdy ribbon – Offray.

Watercolored Purple Poppies Sympathy Card

I chose to watercolor on Bristol paper for this card, being careful to not use too much water.

Gorgeous Grape, Strathmore Bristol, inks – VersaFine Onyx Black, VersaMark, ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Marker Black (010), watercolors – Sakura Koi, embossing powders – Ranger Silver Pearl, Stampendous Detail clear.

Mr. and Mrs. With Iridescent Blue Card

Has any company come out with a “Mr. and Mr”. stamp?  Or a “Mrs. and Mrs.” stamp? I have to make a few “wedding wishes” cards for my basket, so I have an option for any couple.

Supplies:  Stamp – Stampin’ Up!, paper – Curious Metallics Blueprint, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, ink – VersaFine Clair Twilight, dies – Spellbinders, embossing folder – Provo Craft, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

Feel Better Soon BandAid Card

I struggled with this the entire way. The rubber stamp was dry rotting (lack of use?  defective batch?). It was a Sale-a-Bration set from 2013, and I never got any of the images to stamp very well. When I finished this card, the set went into the trash can.

Supplies:  Stamps – Stampin’ Up!, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Real Red, inks – Stampin’ Up! Brilliant Blue (retired), Bermuda Bay, Island Indigo, Tempting Turquoise (retired), VersaFine Onyx Black, die – Simon Says Stamp, embossing powder – Stampendous Detail clear.

I used similar colors and flowers on a card recently that was for personal use. I made a second card for my card basket.

Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sky (retired), inks – VersaFine Onyx Black, VersaMark, dies – Essentials by Ellen (flowers, leaves), Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangle), Simon Says Stamp (sentiment banner), embossing folder – We R Memory Keepers, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.
