Black, White, Red and Turquoise Floral Birthday

I’m trying to figure out my strategy for building up inventory for the gallery. I think for now, since I have to make all categories of cards, I will just go where the mood leads me. (Remind me I said that when I complain that I have 50 floral birthday cards and nothing else! LOL!)

Supplies: Stamps – Hero Arts, Papertrey Ink, paper – Avery Elle Neutral Collection, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Real Red, Tempting Turquoise (retired – sniff, sniff! still upset!), inks – Hero Arts Unicorn, Stampin’ Up! Sunbathing Mother’s Day Card

This is a card for my Mom.

The main image is on a wobble spring, and intentionally mounted with the lady leaning. When you make it wobble, it looks like she is falling.

True story: My maternal grandmother was sitting in a similar lawn chair at our neighborhood picnic sometime while I was in high school. She was watching the softball game, beer in her hand. A small plane went over head (we were less than 10 miles from a small community airport), and it caught her eye. It must have gone straight over her. She watched it diligently and leaned a little too much in that webbed lawn chair. She went over backwards. One of those slow motion visuals. She didn’t get hurt, but she did spill her beer.

With that story in mind, how else could I use this image for Mom???

Supplies: Stamps – Art Impressions, Stampin’ Up!, paper – American Crafts Amy Tangerine Better Together, My Favorite Things Bundle of Blossoms, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Calypso Coral, Gable Green (retired), inks – Copic C3, C5, E23, E51, B0000, B02, R24, R81, R85, Y06, YG06, YG17, YR68, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Lawn Fawn (stitched hillside), Spellbinders (circles), embossing powder – Ranger clear.

Snail Mail Note Card

YES, the retired Turtle & Co stamp set is still on my work table! (and I still haven’t finished my spring cleaning OR Mother’s Day cards! YIKES!)

I colored the snail with Copic markers, and added Glossy Accents to the shell (and a little bit of a slime trail).

My inner Star Wars geek has a message for you:  May the 4th be with you!

Supplies: Stamps – JustRite, Stampin’ Up!, paper – My Favorite Things Bundles of Blossoms, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Pacific Point, Soft Sky, inks – Copic B0000, B00, B02, E51, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Spellbinders, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

Happy Anniversary Paint Chip Card

I gave this to my parents for their recent anniversary. 62 years – WOW!

Odd design, I know. I leaned back into the “Baltimore sports colors” idea again. I was deciding between this orange paint chip and a purple one. Then I noticed this:

The second color stripe from the top was named “Orioles”. As in Baltimore Orioles (baseball team, for anyone not into American sports). PERFECT!

My parents got married while my Dad was in the Air Force (stationed in New York, at the end of his stint). He got a weekend pass, came back home to Baltimore, they got married on Friday night, went to a Baltimore Orioles game on Saturday.

Supplies: Stamp – Rubber Stampede, paper – Home Depot paint chip, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Lovely Lilac (retired), ink – Hero Arts Unicorn, die – My Favorite Things, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder white.
