MOJO333 and PPA191 Birthday Card

mojo333 ppa191 v2

I combined the latest Mojo Monday challenge (MOJO333) and the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge (PPA191) today. The MOJO sketch put me in the mood for circles, so I went all out – retired designer paper with circles, an embossing folder with circles, faux copper coins.

Here is the MOJO333 sketch:

CC465 and Mojo Monday 332 – Nautical Birthday Card

CC465 nautical birthday

I combined this week’s Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge (CC465) and this week’s Mojo Monday Challenge (mojo332).

This week’s color challenge is five colors – Calypso Coral, Pacific Point, Smoky Slate, Soft Sky, and Summer Starfruit. The dessert option is anything nautical.

Here is the MojoMonday sketch:

I panicked a little bit at first…how was I going to put all of those colors together in a cohesive way?? (let alone PRETTY or ARTISTIC!) I have really been inspired by all of Amy Rohl’s nautical cards this past week on her blog, Ink About Me . I knew I had to use one of my anchor dies (I have 2), and once I decided that, the Mojo sketch caught my eye (it was printed, on my craft table), and the rest is history.

Supplies: Stamp – Papertrey Ink, paper – Papertrey Ink White, Stampin’ Up! Calypso Coral, Pacific Point Smoky Slate, Soft Sky, Summer Starfruit, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Lawn Fawn (big tag), My Favorite Things (anchor), Reverse Confetti (small tag), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

CC461 and MOJO328 Just a Note Card

cc461 mojo328 just a note

This week, I combined the MOJO Monday Challenge (#328) and the Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge (CC461). The color challenge is “Coastal Tempting Cantaloupe” (Coastal Cabana, Tempting Turquoise, Crisp Cantaloupe), with dessert option of any kind of framing.

Here is the MOJO Monday sketch (#328):

I stamped the tulips, cut them out with the photo frame die (to ensure they would fit within the frame), and then embossed the entire cut piece of paper to look like a glossy photo. The “photo” was then inserted into a clean frame. It was really dreary when I was taking the photo, but you can see a bit of the photo “gloss” on the lower left.

Supplies: Stamps – Papertrey Ink, Stampin’ Up! (retired), paper – Papertrey Ink White, Stampin’ Up! Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Tempting Turquoise, inks – Stampin’ Up! Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Tempting Turquoise, VersaFine Onyx Black, die – Taylored Expressions (photo frame), Stampin’ Up! (butterfly), embossing folder – Stampin’ Up!, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear (sentiment), Stampin’ Up! Embossing Powder clear (photo), twine – Martha Stewart.

I used the A Muse ArtStamp Bursting Blooms stamp for my fireworks (I didn’t ink the stems).
