Coral, Yellow and Green Garden Birthday Card

(click on any image to enlarge)

I really like square cards – how about you?

I stamped the flowers first, then used a little masking to get the stems where I wanted. It looked too flat, so I pulled out the matching dies and embossed the outlines around the flowers and stems. YAY! I didn’t ruin the card!

Supplies: Stamps – Essentials by Ellen, Papertrey Ink, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, inks – Stampin’ Up! Cameo Coral (retired), Certainly Celery (retired), Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, VersaFine Vintage Sepia, dies – Essentials by Ellen (flower/greens), Taylored Expressions (banner), embossing powder – Ranger clear, twine – Martha Stewart.

You Give Me Butterflies Card

This is another sentiment from my new My Favorite Things sentiment set.

The butterflies are all punched from American Crafts Amy Tangerine On A Whim scraps with a Martha Stewart punch (it punches 2 small and one large butterfly at once, if you want 3 butterflies).

I did think, “oh, my, what have I gotten myself into??” about halfway through the gluing process. I am in love with the final card.

Supplies: Stamp – My Favorite Things, paper – American Crafts Amy Tangerine On A Whim, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, Stardream Silver, ink – VersaMark, die – Lawn Fawn, punch – Martha Stewart, embossing powder – Stampin’ Up! Sterling Silver.

Sending You Sunshine Note Card

Here is another note card using the Waffle Flower stamp set called Little Sunshine.

I stamped in VersaFine, heat embossed with clear powder, and colored the image using Prismacolor pencils.

Mom Update:  Mom is recuperating at home, she got released on Thursday. The procedure and the hospital stay have really wiped her out. Lots of naps are happening. My Dad is struggling with his Nurse Ratched duties. I am visiting daily to check on both of them (they live 4 miles away, very convenient).

Supplies: Stamp – Waffle Flower, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Close to Cocoa (retired), Daffodil Delight, ink – VersaFine Vintage Sepia, pencils – Prismacolor, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, twine – Martha Stewart.

Dotted Sunflower Birthday Card

My Mom’s birthday is coming up. I wanted to use a sunflower, but none of my larger sunflower stamps were what I was looking to use. So, I combined a smaller sunflower stamp with the die that fits one of my larger sunflower stamps (and, NO, I can never get the large stamp and die to match up – super frustrating!).

After I had my sunflower assembled, I started to look around for a background. This dotted A Muse paper must be 10 years old, but it is perfect here. (It came in a variety pack of colors – I have mostly just scraps left.)

In trimming the dotted paper, the scrap that was left was perfect for a note card.

Supplies: Stamps – Clearly Besotted, Papertrey Ink, Stampin’ Up!, paper – A Muse Kitchen, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Close to Cocoa (retired), Daffodil Delight, inks – Copic E11, E25, R02, R24, R29, YG03, Y18, VersaFine Onyx Black, Vintage Sepia, dies – My Favorite Things (sunflower), Spellbinders (circles), Taylored Expressions (banner), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, twine – Martha Stewart.

Confetti White, Stardreams Gold, ink – VersaFine Smokey Gray, dies – My Favorite Things (pierced rectangle), Taylored Expressions (shamrock), embossing powder – Stampendous Gold Detail, twine – Martha Stewart.

Thanks For Being My Friend Card

thanks for being my friend lf dogs

I’ve had Lawn Fawn’s Critters from the Dog Park for over a year now, and I still haven’t used all of the stamps (call it “fear of coloring badly”). I jumped in with the Scotty dog – we had a neighbor dog named McClintock, who was a cream Scotty. I cheated, and stamped the dog on cream paper, so I would have minimal coloring. The other dog…Lawn Fawn says it’s a Spaniel…I’m pretending it is a short Golden Retriever (with an out of perspective tail).

Supplies: Stamps – Lawn Fawn, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Papertrey Ink Vintage Cream, Stampin’ Up! Pumpkin Pie, Soft Sky, So Saffron, Tangerine Tango, Taylored Expressions Build A Scene, inks – Copic 110, E23, E53, W00, Signo Uniball White pen, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Lawn Fawn, butterfly punch – Martha Stewart, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.
