Stencil and Layer Birthday Card

I was inspired by a Jennifer McGuire video, “Custom Stamp Layering”, that I watched over the weekend.

I used a stencil and ink to create the floral pattern. The smaller panel was cut out of the larger panel with a die (and I replaced it with plain white cardstock, so the layers would be supported). I did not use a layer of foam under the smaller panel – I did not want to incur extra postage!

Supplies: Stamp – Clearly Besotted, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Poptone Sour Apple, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, inks – Hero Arts Unicorn, Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Ink Blueprint Sketch, die – Lawn Fawn, stencil – Heidi Swapp, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder white.

Father’s Day Ties Card

I remember the only choices for Father’s Day cards (at least at the pharmacy where I shopped before age 10!) in my youth were decorated with neckties or fishing images. My Dad did wear a necktie to work, he had no interest in fishing. He no longer wears a necktie that often, he still isn’t interested in fishing.

I used my MISTI to create this pattern. Easy peasy. (one necktie stamp, stamped 15 times)

Supplies: Stamps – Lawn Fawn, paper – Gmund Royal, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, inks – Hero Arts Unicorn, Stampin’ Up! Brilliant Blue (retired), Real Red, die – Taylored Expressions, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder white.

Raspberry Daisies Beautiful Day Card

OK, one foot in front of the other here.

Step one in rebuilding inventory of cards for HorseSpirit Arts Gallery – pick a favorite image & color. Make a card.

I found a video on Facebook that shows how quickly and how high the water rose in Ellicott City on May 27, 2018. This camera is UPHILL from where HorseSpirit Arts Gallery is located, looking west towards the parking lot where I usually park (I would be parked at the top of the screen). This is only one of the water sources – the Hudson. The Tiber is on the opposite side of Main Street, and the Patapsco crosses under Main Street at the eastern end.

Not sure if this will work for everyone (I am signed into my Facebook account in another window), but here it is:

Supplies: Stamps – A Muse Artstamps, Hero Arts, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Poptone Razzle Berry, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, inks – Hero Arts Unicorn, Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry, die – Lawn Fawn, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder white.
