Quick and Bold Birthday Card

We needed a birthday card lickety split last week! For one of our neighbors. I always think his birthday is at the end of August, but, ALAS, it is at the beginning of August.

Supplies: Stamp – Papertrey Ink, paper – Avery Elle Neutral Collection, Gmund Royal, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Real Red, ink – VersaMark, die – Papertrey Ink, corner rounder – Stampin’ Up!, embossing powder – Stampin’ Up! Sterling Silver, embroidery floss – DMC.

Green LEGO Birthday Note Card

Offspring3 needed a small birthday card for a little boy turning 4. I dug through my paper stash, and found a scrap of green LEGO paper that was large enough for a note card. The LEGO paper is textured – the dots are raised, and the brick edges are debossed.

I really need to see if I can find more of this paper! (off to the Google machine I go!)

Supplies: Stamp – Papertrey Ink, paper – Creative Imaginations LEGO paper, Gmund Royal, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Provo Craft (4), Spellbinders (circle), Taylored Expressions (banner), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

You Made My Day Paint Chip Note Card

One of my friends messaged and requested some “you made my day” note cards (really, everyone loves this sentiment!). I knew I had to find a unique paint chip for at least one of these. Thank you, Home Depot!  😉

Supplies: Stamp – Stampin’ Up!, paper – Gmund Royal, Home Depot paint chip, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, ink – VersaMark, dies – Spellbinders, embossing powder – Ranger.

Snarky Note Cards

These 3 sentiments came in a collection with 4 lovely, encouraging sentiments. I love the snark, and 2 of the 3 are more self-deprecating, but you have to know the recipient really, really well to send one of these cards.

I think I might gift them to a friend who would take comfort in knowing she had the ammo, but never really use them.

Supplies: Stamps – Ranger, paper – American Crafts Amy Tangerine On A Whim, Gmund Royal, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy, Pool Party, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – My Favorite Things (pierced rectangle), Spellbinders (rectangle, square), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

Embossing Paste Waves Birthday Card

I used embossing paste with the Hero Arts Wave stencil on royal blue cardstock, thinking I could pair it with one of the sailboat stamps I have. Well, that may have worked FINE, if I didn’t make the whole page waves…with the whole page as waves, it really looked like I was trying to create my own version of “The Perfect Storm”.

So, for today, an abstract background birthday card! You get to pick the background you want to see.

Supplies: Stamp – Papertrey Ink, paper – Gmund Royal, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Tempting Turquoise, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Lawn Fawn, stencil – Hero Arts, embossing paste – Dreamweaver, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.
