What the Cluck Square Card

For this card, I pulled my inspiration from the rooster character, HeiHei, from “Moana”. I think he is lovely and clumsy (and I can relate!).

Back in November, someone in my life took a clumsy, awful spill. Injury ensued. But this card would have been perfect!

I used a Gina K. Designs wreath builder template inside my MISTI to get the placement perfect.

Supplies:  Stamps – Newton’s Nook, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White. Stampin’ Up! Bermuda Bay, inks – Copic BG15, BG23, R14, YR14, VersaFine Onyx Black, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

Cool Bear Tag – 12 Tags of Christmas 2019 Challenge

Ellen Hutson is having her 12 Tags of Christmas 2019 Challenge again this year. I always love to see what her designers create. This year, the daily themes are inspired by Christmas Carols.

My tag was inspired by Day 7, Cool Yule with Heather Meeson . After I saw the title, “Cool Yule”, Baloo from the animated version of The Jungle Book was stuck in my head.

So, I colored the MFT sELFIE bear similar to Baloo. Who could be cooler? Shoobie doo bop!

Stenciled Snowflakes Tag and Card

I got a new snowflake stencil from Gina K. Designs last week, and I combined it with a GKD wreath maker template that had smaller snowflakes. After the stencil inks were dry, I stamped Hero Arts snowflakes in VersaMark and covered with good old Iridescent Ice embossing powder from Stampin’ Up. I finished with a sentiment and a few sequins.

Supplies:  Stamps – Hero Arts, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Soft Sky (retired), inks – Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Inks Broken China Mermaid Lagoon, Tumbled Glass, VersaMark, dies – My Favorite Things (pierced rectangle), Taylored Expressions (tag), sequins – Pretty Pink Posh, embossing powders – Stampendous Detail clear, Stampin’ Up! Iridescent Ice, ribbon – Ellen Hutson (gift with order).

Kraft Ranunculus Thanks Card

Offspring3 and I got free tickets to the play “Everybody”, at the Shakespeare Theatre Company‘s Lansburgh Theatre this past weekend. This is the thank you card I made to send to our benefactor (Thanks, Elena!).

I am personally struggling with the monthly release overload factor in the stamping industry right now. (Which is also adding to the  “do I really want to continue blogging?” thought bubble you see hovering over my head! (renewal fee is due this month) I cannot keep up with new products. I do not feel internal pressure to overspend (quite the opposite) in FOMO. I feel I am no longer relevant in this space, and quite frankly, social media has marched on from blogging to Instagram and stories and beyond. Maybe that thought needs to be its own post!  LOL! I digress.)

So, I chose to go back to basics here – this is all stamping. No embossing, no die cutting. I chose fall colors and kraft paper (even dug out a matching kraft envelope).

Very happy with the result.

Supplies:  Stamps – Hero Arts, My Favorite Things, paper – Neenah Kraft, Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Grape, inks – Gina K. Designs Cherry Red, Jelly Bean Green, Wild Lilac, VersaFine Onyx Black.

Foliage Thinking of You Card

Hey, there!

I made a card!  (I decided I owed it to myself to get inky!)

Of course, now I don’t want to shift gears and do the medical paperwork I need to do.

I was inspired by various crafting blogs displaying a Simon Says Stamp and Reverse Confetti joint collaboration stamp set (part of Simon Says Stamp’s STAMPtember…which, as of 8:39 pm on September 9th, is sold out. Wasn’t in my budget anyway!).

Supplies:  Stamps – Hero Arts, Stampin’ Up!, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Desert Storm, Stampin’ Up! Old Olive, inks – Gina K. Designs Jelly Bean Green, Stampin’ Up! Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz, VersaMark, die – Spellbinders, embossing powder – Stampin’ Up! Classy Copper, linen thread – Stampin’ Up!.

Yellow and Purple Floral Feel Better Soon Duo

I pulled out the Stampin’ Up! Spring Garden stamp set (from 2003 – the second Stamp Camp I ever attended) to make a few get well cards.

I chose the colors, well, because my mother-in-law likes yellow and purple (the horizontal card is for her).

Supplies:  Stamps – Stampin’ Up!, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi (retired), inks – Gina K Designs Jelly Bean Green, Wild Lilac, Lawn Fawn Sunflower, Stampin’ Up! Soft Suede, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangle), Simon Says Stamp (banner), butterfly punch – Martha Stewart, Ranger Stickles – Icicle, embossing powder – Stampendous Detail clear.
