Kraft Ranunculus Thanks Card

Offspring3 and I got free tickets to the play “Everybody”, at the Shakespeare Theatre Company‘s Lansburgh Theatre this past weekend. This is the thank you card I made to send to our benefactor (Thanks, Elena!).

I am personally struggling with the monthly release overload factor in the stamping industry right now. (Which is also adding to the  “do I really want to continue blogging?” thought bubble you see hovering over my head! (renewal fee is due this month) I cannot keep up with new products. I do not feel internal pressure to overspend (quite the opposite) in FOMO. I feel I am no longer relevant in this space, and quite frankly, social media has marched on from blogging to Instagram and stories and beyond. Maybe that thought needs to be its own post!  LOL! I digress.)

So, I chose to go back to basics here – this is all stamping. No embossing, no die cutting. I chose fall colors and kraft paper (even dug out a matching kraft envelope).

Very happy with the result.

Supplies:  Stamps – Hero Arts, My Favorite Things, paper – Neenah Kraft, Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Grape, inks – Gina K. Designs Cherry Red, Jelly Bean Green, Wild Lilac, VersaFine Onyx Black.

Foliage Thinking of You Card

Hey, there!

I made a card!  (I decided I owed it to myself to get inky!)

Of course, now I don’t want to shift gears and do the medical paperwork I need to do.

I was inspired by various crafting blogs displaying a Simon Says Stamp and Reverse Confetti joint collaboration stamp set (part of Simon Says Stamp’s STAMPtember…which, as of 8:39 pm on September 9th, is sold out. Wasn’t in my budget anyway!).

Supplies:  Stamps – Hero Arts, Stampin’ Up!, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Desert Storm, Stampin’ Up! Old Olive, inks – Gina K. Designs Jelly Bean Green, Stampin’ Up! Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz, VersaMark, die – Spellbinders, embossing powder – Stampin’ Up! Classy Copper, linen thread – Stampin’ Up!.

Yellow and Purple Floral Feel Better Soon Duo

I pulled out the Stampin’ Up! Spring Garden stamp set (from 2003 – the second Stamp Camp I ever attended) to make a few get well cards.

I chose the colors, well, because my mother-in-law likes yellow and purple (the horizontal card is for her).

Supplies:  Stamps – Stampin’ Up!, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi (retired), inks – Gina K Designs Jelly Bean Green, Wild Lilac, Lawn Fawn Sunflower, Stampin’ Up! Soft Suede, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangle), Simon Says Stamp (banner), butterfly punch – Martha Stewart, Ranger Stickles – Icicle, embossing powder – Stampendous Detail clear.

Easy Sub-Lime Birthday Card

I’ve been in the mood for just stamping the past few days.

I mounted three different lime stamps on an acrylic block and stamped the background in Key Lime ink. I THOUGHT about decorating the edges of the limes with some sort of glitter (thinking salted edge of a Margarita glass), but the sentiment was not about Margaritas, so I let that idea go.

Supplies:  Stamps – Essentials by Ellen, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Pop Tone Sour Apple, inks – Gina K. Designs Key Lime, VersaFine Onyx Black.

Colorful Leaves Encouragement Card

This is where the creative process took me yesterday morning.

Supplies:  Stamps – Essentials by Ellen, Simon Says Stamp, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Pop Tone Sour Apple, inks – Gina K. Designs Key Lime, Wild Lilac, Lawn Fawn Merman, VersaFine Onyx Black, embossing powder – Stampendous Detail clear.

Squeeze The Day Citrus Outlines Card

I love this citrus stamp set from Essentials by Ellen.

(Confession:  I love the set, I am intimidated by the beautiful cards I have seen made with it. So, I am currently stuck in “I don’t know what else to do with it” territory. Sigh. This too shall pass, right??)

Supplies:  Stamps – Essentials by Ellen, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Pop Tone Sour Apple, inks – Gina K. Designs Key Lime, Lawn Fawn Sunflower, Stampin’ Up! Only Orange (retired), VersaMark, embossing powder – Stampendous Detail clear.

Bright Floral Wreath Square Cards

I wanted to use the Essentials by Ellen “positive mental vibes” sentiment on a wreath card, which led me to bright, happy color choices.

And you know I have to make 2 of anything with lots of stamping – in case I mess up at the last step. Luckily, this time, no snafus for me!

Supplies:  Stamps – Essentials by Ellen, Gina K. Designs, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, PopTone Razzle Berry, Sour Apple, inks – Hero Arts Fiesta Yellow, Taylored Expressions Lime Zest, Lollipop, VersaFine Onyx Black, wreath builder template – Gina K. Designs, sequins – Lawn Fawn, Pretty Pink Posh, embossing powder – Stampendous Detail clear.
