Season’s Greetings Gift Tag – Ellen Hutson 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2015 Challenge

eh feminine tags 2015 day 10 sketch

I was thrilled to find time to make another tag for the Ellen Hutson 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2015 Challenge. (ok, I made the time, pushed something on my “to do list” aside for ME time!)

For this one, I used the Day 10 Sketch.

12 tags day 10 sketch challenge

I die cut a tag with the Reverse Confetti Gift Card Holder tag die, and die cut a circle (to use as a mask) out of a piece of scrap paper. I taped the mask over the tag, and blended Distress inks (from the bottom, Stormy Sky, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire) onto the tag. I stamped tiny snowflakes with the same colors.  The silver snowflake is a My Favorite Things die, the sentiment is Hero Arts. I did have to touch up around the “G” and the “S” in “Greetings” with a White Signo Pen, it was difficult to see the letters that got stamped on a dark snowflake.

I really love the way the blended circle turned out!

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies: Stamps – Hero Arts, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Recollections Silver Mirror, inks – Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Inks Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, Salty Ocean, Stormy Sky, VersaMark, dies – My Favorite Things (snowflake), Reverse Confetti (tag), embossing powder – Stampin’ Up! Sterling Silver, ribbon – Stampin’ Up! (retired).

Bright Snowflakes Tag – Ellen Hutson 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2015 Challenge

eh feminine tags 2015 pinterest colors and snowflakes

I am always so inspired by the Ellen Hutson 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist every year, but I run out of time to create from the presentation.

This year, the Ellen Hutson 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2015 Challenge left me with TOO MANY ideas!

I ended up combining two challenge days –

Day 1 – Pinterest Inspired

and

Day 6 – Snowflakes

eh 12 feminine tags 2015 day 6 snowflakes

I combined the colors of the Pinterest inspiration with the snowflakes (and some sparkle). The snowflakes were stamped on white, and 3 snowflakes were die cut out of vellum. The sentiment is stamped in VersaMark and Silver Pearl embossing powder (love that glow!). I threw on some sequins, and added organdy and metallic ribbons, and some baker’s twine.

Thanks for stopping by!

(and thanks, Ellen Hutson, for offering such a generous prize for the random winner!)

12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2014 Challenge

julie inspired 2014 feminine tag

This tag was created for the Ellen Hutson 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist Challenge.

I was inspired by Julie Ebersole’s pink hombre watercolor tag. I’m ALWAYS inspired by Julie Ebersole, I think I have a major crafting crush!

I kept the pink watercolor stripes, but changed the laurel wreath into a round silver wreath. My stars are not sequins, but A Muse Twinkle Stickers in two shades of pink. My hole protector is a sequin.

Supplies: Stamp – Hero Arts, paper – Canson Watercolor paper, Recollections Silver Mirror paper, dies – Spellbinders, stars – A Muse Twinkle Stickers, sequin – Doodlebug Designs Inc, watercolors – Kuretake, embossing powder – Stampin’ Up! Gold Detail, metallic cord – PaperMart.
