Blended Floral Thinking of You Card

Hey, there.

Struggling with what to post – hard to think that any of this blog matters when the United States is struggling with chaos.

So, thinking of you is appropriate – I am THINKING about a lot of things. The country, the closest cities, my neighborhood. White privilege, empathy, compassion, equality, justice. And, of course, throw in some worry about elderly family members.

I blended ink over a daisy stencil, and added a new sentiment.

Hope you are well, and handling all the THINKING in your life.

Supplies:  Stamp – Essentials by Ellen, paper – Strathmore Bristol, Stampin’ Up! Sahara Sand, inks – Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Inks Shabby Shutters, Spun Sugar, Squeezed Lemonade, VersaFine Vintage Sepia, stencil – Simon Says Stamp, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

Happy Yellow Card Duo

Yes, you are required to say “happy yellow” in your best Bob Ross voice!

These went to my mother in law this week. I think she gave some of the last cards to one of her caregivers and now needs replacements? Unclear.

“Stay at Home” is going OK. I am only leaving the house to walk, get groceries, or check on my parents. Offspring3 and I completed a 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle in about 8 hours on Monday.

How are things in your private space?

Supplies:  Stamps – Stampin’ Up!, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, ScrapBerry Mediterranean, Stampin’ Up! Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzleberry, Taylored Expressions Build A Scene, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, VersaMark, dies – My Favorite Things (pierced rectangles), Spellbinders (circles), embossing powders – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, Ranger Silver Pearl.

Pink Floral Thinking of You Card

My Mom asked me to make a card for her, so here we are. It is for a breast cancer survivor, hence the all out pink.

I kept it basic – not sure if I could even complete something complex.

I was inspired by Yana Smakula’s tutorial – coloring on  colored cardstock. As you can see, I did not choose to make my background dark.

Supplies:  Stamps – My Favorite Things, Papertrey Ink, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Pirouette Pink, Pretty In Pink (retired), inks – Copic R21, R81, YG95, VersaFine Onyx Black, die – Simon Says Stamp, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

Pool and Sparkly Navy Thinking of You Note Card

My mojo is being skittish – I think it is hiding under the basement couch .

I pulled out a background stamp that has been on my mind (I think I saw something with a background done with a circle stencil last week??).

Supplies:  Stamps – Papertrey Ink, Stampin’ Up!, paper – Curious Metallics Blueprint, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, inks – Gina K. Designs Sea Glass, VersaFine Clair Twilight, dies – My Favorite Things (pierced rectangle), Taylored Expressions (flower), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

Happy You’re My Friend Square Card

I colored this image with really bright markers last week, but today I left it just as a black and white card.

Still stunning!

Supplies:  Stamps – Newton’s Nook, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

Guess What? Chicken Butt Note Card

One of the offspring still says this to me!

I had trouble photographing this – the first photo I had the card taped shut, so you can see the chicken through the window. Overall gloomy day on Monday, the lighting was just never optimal.

Supplies:  Stamps – Newton’s Nook, paper – Heidi Swapp, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, inks – VersaFine Onyx Black, ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens Brown (060), Carmine Red (022), Orange (070), Yellow (050), dies – Spellbinders, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

Plaid and Cheery Pig Card

I love this plaid paper with this pig, but I am not sure I will keep that sentiment. Cute enough in theory…maybe not in execution.

Supplies:  Stamps – Newton’s Nook, paper – Doodlebug Design Christmas Magic, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Pink Pirouette, inks – Copic B0000, R02, YG03, YG25, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Newton’s Nook (pig), Taylored Expressions (photo frame), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

World Card Making Day 2019!

Hello!

I didn’t know if I would have time to participate in World Card Making Day – but I did!  (it’s noon & I am still in my pajamas…priorities, right?)

I admit I watercolored the carnations last night (so it would dry). The background, sentiment, assembly were all done today.

This card is leaving with a batch of brownies in the morning.

Have a great day! Let’s all go get inspired!
