Wedding Note Card

mr-and-mrs-shell-note

This was part of the wedding thank you note project (red, white, blue, nautical) I am working on – the bride did not select this one. The embossing is more silver than it appears – I had on a royal blue shirt that was being reflected.

So, since it is not a thank you, I am throwing it into the “love” section of my card basket. A perfect small wedding card.

Supplies: Stamp – Stampin’ Up!, paper – Esse Pearlized Latte, Gmund Royal, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Brushed Gold, ink – VersaFine Black Onyx, die – My Favorite Things, embossing powder – Ranger Silver Pearl.

Wedding Shower Card

bridal shower for vic

A friend requested a large card for a wedding shower. This card is A7 size – 5 x 7 inches.

I asked for hints about theme or colors, and got a photo of the bridesmaid dress.

bridesmaid dress(sorry, no idea who to give photo credit to!)

I loosely watercolored two pieces of paper – one in coral, one in green (and a little bit of sparkly white in both), and die cut flowers and leaves when dry. I have used a similar layout before, but really liked the contrast against the black paper today.

Supplies: Stamp – Papertrey Ink, paper – Arches watercolor, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, Calypso Coral, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, watercolors – Kuretake Gansai Tambi, dies – Essentials by Ellen, sequins – Pretty Pink Posh, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

Wishing You Happiness Card

wishing you happiness floral collage

Yesterday, the Papertrey Ink stamp set “Year of Flowers: Carnation” was out on my workspace. And this sentiment was calling to me…”Ink me! I’ve never been inked!”

I created a collage of Essentials by Ellen die cut roses for a backdrop. (I made a similar background for a Runway Inspired Challenge – Wedding Wishes Card.)

Supplies: Stamp – Papertrey Ink, paper – ESSE Pearlized Latte, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Brushed Gold, Night of Navy, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Essentials by Ellen, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

Wonderful Day Card – Essentials by Ellen January 2106 Pinsights Challenge

e by e jan 2016 pinsights wonderful day poinsettias

This month’s Essentials by Ellen Pin Sights Challenge is all about reds.

e by e jan 2016 pinsights inspiration

I used the poinsettia image from the Mistletoe and Holly set to create a background in VersaFine Crimson Red and Satin Red (both embossed with clear embossing powder). I used the “day” part of “oh happy day” (Bold Blooms) and the “wishing you a wonderful” part of “wishing you a wonderful holiday season” (Mistletoe and Holly).

I am content with the final product – I think it would make a lovely card for a December birthday or wedding shower. Or even a nice Valentine, if the recipient is not fluent in floral classification.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies: Stamps – Essentials by Ellen, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Natural White, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, Real Red, inks – VersaFine Crimson Red, Onyx Black, Satin Red, dies – Spellbinders, crystals – EK Success Swarovski Elements, embossing powders – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, Ranger Liquid Platinum, organdy ribbon – Offray.

ric94 wedding

The latest Runway Inspired Challenge (ric#94) is based on the inspiration from Houghton Bridal.

ric94 Houghton Bridal

The lace was my inspiration.

I die cut flowers and leaves from Shimmery White cardstock with the Bold Blooms dies (stand alone), and glued them individually onto white cardstock.

Here is my lace background:

I attached the lace background to a top fold card, and added a sentiment (platinum embossed on black).

Edited 11/3/2015: My card got selected as one of the Fabulous Fashionistas for the challenge. Thanks to the Runway team!

Supplies: Stamp – Paper Salon, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, Shimmery White, ink – VersaFine Smoky Gray, dies – Essentials by Ellen, embossing powder – Ranger Liquid Platinum.

Sunflower Shower Card

sunflower shower

Remember the sunflower project I was working on? My mother is attending a bridal shower for the lover of sunflowers, and this is what I came up with for a shower card.

I created a cute little scene, with heart shaped raindrops in translucent embossing paste falling on a smiling sunflower.

Here is a close up of the raindrops:

Gold Mirror Wedding Card – Runway Inspired Challenge ric#82

ric82 gold mirror anniversary

I loved the latest inspiration for the Runway Inspired Challenge ric#82 . Elegant.

I didn’t bust out any new ideas or techniques, just stayed elegant and classic. I embossed the gold mirror paper with an embossing folder, and was very happy that the embossing did not crack the paper or the finish.

Here is the inspiration look by Naeem Khan:
