Anniversary Bouquet Card

Coloring my “gym pansy” for yesterday’s post got me in the mood for more purple flowers.

Supplies:  Stamps – Avery Elle, Rubber Stampede, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Basic Gray, Orchid Opulence (retired), inks – Copic BV01, BV04, V04, V09, V15, V17, YG03, YG25, YG95, Hero Arts Unicorn, VersaFine Smokey Gray, dies – Lawn Fawn, embossing powders – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, white.

Floral Anniversary Card

I had this image to color, but I didn’t have the Copic colors to match the vision in my head. Luckily, I could make it work with colored pencils.

This card is a little different than most of my “circle main image” cards. This one, I cut the circle hole into the layer of purple, so the image is behind the purple instead of resting on top. The silver frame is on top of the purple.

Supplies: Stamps – Altenew, Paper Salon, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stardream Metallics Silver, Taylored Expressions Jelly Donut, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, pencils & blender – Prismacolor, dies – Spellbinders, embossing powders – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, Ranger Silver Pearl.

Wreath Anniversary Card AND HorseSpirit Arts Gallery Announcement!

When I make complicated stamped pieces, I make at least 2 of them (assembly line style), so I have an extra if I make a last minute mistake.

This piece was left over from my mother’s birthday card in September.

HorseSpirit Arts Gallery Announcement!

HorseSpirit Arts Gallery has been closed since the May 27, 2018 flood that devastated Old Ellicott City. Robin and Max have been searching high and low for a new location (not in Old Ellicott City – 2 devastating floods in 2 years makes it impossible to be located there again). They have signed a lease for a space at Historic Savage Mill. The grand reopening will be in November!

I have a lot of work to do! I have been plugging away at card inventory for the gallery, but I am not quite at my goal yet.

If some of my cards look familiar, keep in mind that I make at least 2 pieces of the complicated backgrounds. You may have seen the artwork before (and maybe it floated down Main Street into the Patapsco River on May 27th).

Supplies: Stamps – Essentials by Ellen, Papertrey Ink, Stampin’ Up!, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Pear Pizzazz, inks – Hero Arts Fiesta Red, Fiesta Teal, Fiesta Yellow, Stampin’ Up! Pear Pizzazz, VersaFine Onyx Black, die – Simon Says Stamp, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

Happy Anniversary Paint Chip Card

I gave this to my parents for their recent anniversary. 62 years – WOW!

Odd design, I know. I leaned back into the “Baltimore sports colors” idea again. I was deciding between this orange paint chip and a purple one. Then I noticed this:

The second color stripe from the top was named “Orioles”. As in Baltimore Orioles (baseball team, for anyone not into American sports). PERFECT!

My parents got married while my Dad was in the Air Force (stationed in New York, at the end of his stint). He got a weekend pass, came back home to Baltimore, they got married on Friday night, went to a Baltimore Orioles game on Saturday.

Supplies: Stamp – Rubber Stampede, paper – Home Depot paint chip, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Lovely Lilac (retired), ink – Hero Arts Unicorn, die – My Favorite Things, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder white.

Lighthouse Paint Chip Anniversary Card

I went to Lowe’s last week, in search of Stainless Steel appliance cleaner/polish. Of course I brought paint chips home with me. The paint chips sat on top of my paper cutter, next to the computer for a few days. Husband asks, “are you going to paint something?” Wife answers, “no, I use them in my crafting.” Husband grumbles, “you use them crafting???”

(I went looking back in my card photos – I started stamping in the fall of 2002, and I have been using paint chips since at least mid 2005. Granted, Husband does not see everything card or project I make.)

So, of course, I had to use a paint chip on the anniversary card for aforementioned Husband.

The paint chip is a LARGE one, 3.75 x 9 inches. I trimmed off 1/4 inch both ways to make it fit my T-A-L-L card (finished size 4 x 9.25 inches…it fits into a business size A10 envelope).

Supplies: Stamps – Avery Elle, Stampin’ Up!, paper – Lowe’s paint chip, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Papertrey Ink Kraft, Stampin’ Up! Real Red, Smoky Slate, inks – Copic Boo, R24, R29, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Avery Elle (lighthouse, seagulls), Memory Box (clouds), Simon Says Stamp (banner), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

Striped Anniversary Card

Has anyone seen my mojo? Or my crafting time?

Both have seemed to disappear this week.

So…a quick card for today. I love this the way it is, but, depending on who I send it to, I may add some flowers or foliage to the corners of the sentiment banner.

Have a nice weekend!

Supplies:  Stamp – Rubber Stampede, paper – American Crafts Amy Tangerine Better Together, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake, ink – VersaMark, die – Lawn Fawn, embossing powder – Sterling Silver.
