Paper and Ink Imaginings

just playing with paper and ink

Foiled Floral Birthday Card

My gym friend, Sherry, gave me some paper that was used underneath fabric during a dye process.

I stamped some pressed flowers and had to dry the ink with my heat gun (the paper has a coating – it feels a bit like a heavyweight butcher’s paper). I embossed the leaves with clear embossing powder, then put it through my laminator with Ranger foil.

WOW! I have never had such good results with foiling. Not sure if this is related to the embossing powder I used (Stampendous), the solid aspect of the leaf image, or the brand of foil (Ranger).

Supplies: Stamps – A Muse Artstamps, Papertrey Ink, Stampin’ Up!, paper – dyed butcher’s paper, Papertrey Ink Vintage Cream, Stampin’ Up! Elegant Eggplant, inks – Stampin’ Up!
