Floral Birthday Card – Distress Oxide Watercoloring

I was inspired by this blog post by Jennifer McGuire – Distress Oxide Ink Watercolor .

So, I pulled out my 4 Distress Oxide Ink pads and got to work. I realized after starting to paint the flowers that I needed more colors. I mixed blue and pink, and then yellow and pink.

Jury duty update – the recording last night excused groups 20 – 39 for the rest of the week. I was in group 27. My civic duty is complete, for a calendar year, then my name goes back into the jury duty lottery in my county of residence.

Supplies: Stamps – Altenew, Reverse Confetti, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Papertrey Ink Kraft, Stampin’ Up! Bermuda Bay, inks – Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Oxide Ink Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry, Salty Ocean, Squeezed Lemonade, VersaFine Onyx Black, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, twine – Stampin’ Up!

  1. Beautiful card. Love the colors, and especiallly love the natural looking paper that you used.

  2. What a great card. The colors remind me of the shades you see on various Día de los Muertos items. Love it
