When I stamped the background collage for Offspring3’s birthday card a few weeks ago, I stamped multiple sheets of the collage (the MISTI made that easy!).
This version was stamped using Simon Says Stamp inks in Hot Mama (a dark orchid) and Deep Purple. The inks are new to me. I was THRILLED to find my blended ink color matched a piece of Plum Punch card stock I had in my stash.
I have had an entire set of Stampin’ Up! Classic Ink Pads forever. I did update to the “new” Stampin’ Up! foam pads in 2012, and, alas, while I have gotten my money’s worth out of these ink pads, it is time to reink or buy new ink pads. The pads I have reinked have changed color (gone darker), which doesn’t make me a happy camper. Ink pads are a big investment, so I am going to be researching other brands that have come onto the market since I made my original investment in 2002.
And here is a birthday note card I made out of the leftover collage:
If you don’t mind, think good thoughts for my family again today! I will be back at the hospital with my parents, my mother is having a procedure called Endovascular Coiling for her unruptured brain aneurysm.
