For this background, I repeatedly embossed the multiple heart die from last year’s Simon Says Stamp February 2016 Kit onto red cardstock using an embossing pad (silicone). It took quite a few passes through the Big Shot (15?) to fill the red cardstock (layer for an A6 card – 4 1/8 x 5 3/4 inches) with embossed hearts, but I am pleased with the way it turned out. The layer behind the red layer is Curious Metallic Virtual Pearl (from a sample pack I bought), and at some angles, it has a violet tinge to it. (Of course, I was never successful trying to photograph said tinge!)
Here is the multiple heart die:
Supplies: Stamps – Stampin’ Up!, paper – Curious Metallic Virtual Pearl, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Lovely Lilac (retired), Real Red, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, Satin Red, dies – Simon Says Stamp (hearts), Spellbinders (square), embossing powders – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, Ranger Silver Pearl.

Red and purple – very passionate! I like that die and how you have used it to emboss. Getting the most from your tools again! This game is less imaginatively called noughts and crosses over here. I always wondered how it got to be tic tac toe in North America, and how toes got involved?!

Hmmmm….I never thought about the name of the game! Or why toes would be involved, either!

I had a brief Google, but am none the wiser!

(Sorry, I didn’t have time for that today! Maybe in the wee hours tomorrow morning!)

That’s Ok. Google works over here too!
