My birthday was last month, and Simon Says Stamp sent me a promo code for the “free birthday set”. The free set turned out to be Magical Birthday, which includes a unicorn and a rainbow. I really like the unicorn, it is not too cartoonish.
I colored the unicorn with Copic markers, and paired it with the die cut “wish” from Taylored Expressions.
The unicorn’s horn is covered in Wink of Stella, and “wish” is die cut from silver mirror paper. I could not get either detail to show in a photo.
Supplies: Stamp – Simon Says Stamp, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Recollections Silver, Stampin’ Up! Basic Gray, Tempting Turquoise, inks – Copic B02, B05, BV01, C1, C3, RV14, V04, Y18, YG06, Yr04, ZIG Wink of Stella clear, dies – Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangle), Spellbinders (squares), Taylored Expressions (wish), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, organdy ribbon – Offray.

That is one cute unicorn, but I agree, not too much so, just right. Love the rainbow mane and tail! How nice that you get a gift for your birthday from a company like that ? I don’t think that happens here!!
