Hello Note Card – with Pineapples

The Offspring gifted me with the Hero Arts Color Layering Pineapple set for my recent birthday (Thanks again, Offspring3, for doing the leg work!!). I got it inky with traditional colors this time, and eyeballed the layer placement.

Supplies: Stamps – Hero Arts, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Wild Wasabi, inks – Stampin’ Up! Always Artichoke, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Pumpkin Pie, Wild Wasabi, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – My Favorite Things (pierced rectangle), Stampin’ Up! (banner), embossing powder – Ranger Silver Pearl.

  1. You got pineapples!! Nice stamps, great card. Birthday? Did you mention it? Have I forgotten or overlooked it?

  2. Beautiful work. Thanks for sharing.

  3. As a person who can’t make a card to save her own life, I truly admire your beautiful work. And happy birthday! ^^reading the comments haha

  4. Haven’t tried using layering stamps before, love your pineapples! And Happy Belated Birthday Wishes!

    • Thank you for the birthday wishes! I have avoided layering stamps until now. I suppose I was thinking they would be frustrating to my perfectionist side? There are so many beautiful layering sets – check out Altenew.

      • I was thinking the same! I’ve checked them out a couple of days ago, but I’m still hesitant… Do you need a misti tool for this or it can be achieved with acrylic block?

      • The card I made (with brand new clear stamps) was by hand (acrylic block). I worry that it will become more difficult as the stamps get used/stained to “see” where to stamp. I did by chance get a MISTI for my birthday, too, but I have not used it yet.

      • Congrats on your MISTI! I think that it can be difficult too, especially with layered flowers, as their shapes are not so easy to ‘read’ as the shapes of pineapples. That’s why I’m hesitant.

      • I have been debating the MISTI since it came out…”Will I really use it?” Lately, I’ve been thinking I waste so much paper getting a sentiment straight, a MISTI might just help!

      • Oh, yes, just yesterday I was stamping some images to color and a couple of them have gaps in the middle for some reason… At this point I thought about MISTI again, but every time when I look at the price… you know, lol

      • Regina, I know exactly what you mean about price!
