I needed a birthday card for personal use, and I wanted to use the stacking doll stamps again.
Lots of masking! The three smaller dolls had masks made of Inkadinkado masking paper, and I used washi tape to mask the apron lines on the large doll. Stamping order was (1) left most smallest doll, (2) medium doll, (3) right most small doll, and then (4) the large doll.
Supplies: Stamps – Hero Arts, Papertrey Ink, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, Bermuda Bay, inks – Copic BG15, E00, E15, E21, R29, YG17, Y18, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Spellbinders, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

Aw, that’s so pretty! Lots of hard work on all that masking – including the masking off of each doll as you stamped ‘over’ it, but so worth it.

Thanks so much, Cobs! It was a lot of masking (and the fear of messing up on step 87! This was my second attempt.)

It’s perfection!

Oh, Cobs, you are too kind! (and you know I can see every imperfection glaring back at me!)

Noooo. Not imperfections, they are the unique ‘finger prints’ of a true artist, which make that image very much yours as the original artist. People could try to make that exact card, but yours would stand out as being the original.
You’re an artist Kathy.
(but I know what you mean. I can always see where I could have done something better. We all do it.)

I knew you would understand! 🙂

Wow! No way would I have had the patience to do this. All those tiny little details to colour in would have given me a nervous breakdown. Beautiful work!

There is a smudge…I know I am the only one who sees it. I let it be, the recipient loved it.

If you are the only one who can see it, maybe it does not exist? Perhaps this is one of those philosophical questions?!

Cobs & I had a bit of this discussion – I can see all the flaws (I’m sure you are the same with your cards). I have learned to NOT point them out.

Wise words!
