Lovely. How many have you made so far? Even if it just the one you are still way ahead of me!

Oh, Gillian…you caught me! I made just one. I won this stamp set last Nov/Dec, and I am just a bit stumped by it. Trying to decide if buying the matching die set would help me.

Nice to win something! What else is in the set?

It was LOVELY to win. The set is called Mistletoe & Holly (Essentials by Ellen). I’m going to attempt to put the link in this comment (not sure if that will work!) : http://www.ellenhutson.com/essentials-by-ellen-clear-stamps-mistletoe-holly-by-julie-ebersole/

Link worked. I think the dies would be a useful purchase – some of the stamps would be tricky to fussy cut, right? But the dies would give you lots more scope I think – I can see you making great cards!

YES, tricky to fussy cut (I cut masks for the pine cone & the poinsettia). I think my main struggle is that the lines of the images are bolder than I would like them to be. Not that they are not attractive, but I end up with less coloring space.

For me that is a virtue!! Less chance to muck it up. Seriously though, the dies won’t help with that problem, so maybe they aren’t for you. In which case you can buy something else….

I think I need to stamp on watercolor paper and give that a try. I do like the pine cone/evergreen bough I did on kraft last week. And I will keep pondering the dies. 😉 I need to win the lottery!
