Here is my creation for the Essentials by Ellen May 2016 Pin-Sights Challenge.

And here is the inspiration board:

Gosh, I have been staring at this inspiration board for over a week, just overwhelmed by the pastel-ishness. The past few days, I was more focused on the lower right photo – the flowers that look similar to drink umbrellas. Which then translated into cupcake papers in my head.

These are mini cupcake papers from Target (purchased last summer).

I added some gold splatters with a mix of Pearl-Ex, Gum Arabic, and water (tapped off the end of a small round paintbrush).

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. lovely and very clever design!!! so fun that you used the cupcake papers to make all the leaves and blooms!

  2. Brilliant use of cupcake wrappers. Although they do a good job with cake too…. I love this card. I think it is one of my favourites that you have made.

    • Oh, Gillian, you are so sweet! If you didn’t live across the “pond” from me, I would ship you cupcakes in these exact wrappers! Thank you for your kind words.
