I purchased a sample pack of wood paper sheets from Paper-Papers.com last week. I got 6 sheets of 2 different colors, each in 3 different weights.
This background is the 12 PT Birch variety.
I love how lightweight it is for a layer on a card.
Imagining the wood as a deck, I threw down some flip flops, and hopefully, this summer card will bring a smile to someone. I have an old template (from maybe 2004) of a flip flop that I got from a Stamper’s Sampler Take Ten magazine, and I dug that out to use here. I dry embossed the patterned flip flop layer with an embossing folder.
Here is a close up, I think the grain of the wood is a little more visible:
Supplies: Stamp – Hampton Arts, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Paper-Papers Birch 12PT, Stampin’ Up! Kaleidoscope DSP (retired), Basic Black, Bermuda Bay, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, floss – DMC, embossing folder – Darice, die – Taylored Expressions, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

I really like this sentiment. I’d like something with it.
