Sunflowers in Progress

coloring sunflowers

I am working on a sunflower thank you card project. Trying to get the colors right in the various coloring mediums I own. I do really like the watercolored one (top right), but I don’t like the color of that scrap of watercolor paper (too creamy).

Supplies: Stamps – My Favorite Things, Stampin’ Up!, Technique Tuesday, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Papertrey Ink White, watercolor paper (from Ellen Hutson), inks – Copic E53, R25, R29, YG0000, YG03, YG85, Y18, Y26, Papertrey Ink Chai, Chamomile, Stampin’ Up! Close to Cocoa (retired), Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Summer Sun (retired), Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors.

  1. Decisions, decisions, decisions. Even if you didn’t ask for it, nosy-me is going to cast a vote. I like the one in the middle, bottom row.

    • Thanks, Lekha! I do like how brightly that sunflower you chose presents itself. Ultimately, not my decision…it is a project for one of my cousins. I made 4 samples, she gets to pick.

      • I’ve been known to have something called foot-in-the-mouth disease all my life. I am sorry.
When I saw it laid out like that, I had to pick what I like. They are all beautiful. I like that one best is all.

  2. No worries, Lekha!! I appreciate the input. I have a difficult time being objective about my work (perfectionist problem),

  3. Always over eager to help, like in this instance.
