Painted Blooms and Butterflies Birthday Card

painted blooms floral embossed butterfly birthday

I recently posted a Mother’s Day card made with this sheet of the Painted Blooms collection, and I mused that I didn’t know what I would do with the rest of this one variety of paper from the collection.

{insert trumpet fanfare} A Birthday Card!

I actually like this version more than the first. I like the scale of these butterflies better than the larger butterfly I used on the original card.

Supplies: Stamp – Clearly Besotted, paper – Papertrey Ink White, Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Delight, Painted Blooms DSP, Soft Sky, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Spellbinders (rectangle), Stampin’ Up! (butterflies), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder.

  1. The flowers on this paper are really pretty.

    • They are, Terry. There was a matching stamp set, but it was 2 or 3 steps to get each flower, and I just find that frustrating with my “it must be perfect” tendency.

  2. Definitely works!

  3. Gorgeous card. I love this DSP and wish it was carried over to the new annual catalog. Thankyou for the inspiration.
