Here is my entry for the Essentials by Ellen April 2015 Pin-Sights Challenge . This is my first time participating in this challenge, I am really excited to be able to play along.
I have one Essentials by Ellen stamp set (Bold Blooms), and the 2 coordinating die sets. I decided to try a different flower stamp from the set.
Here is the inspiration moodboard:
This is the fourth iteration of this card! I tried using Distress Inks first, and just didn’t like the look (clear stamps and distress inks don’t always play well together). The next version, I stamped all the flowers, leaves and stems, then tried to stamp just the word “happy” from the “oh happy day!” stamp. Nope, that made a mess. OK, third try, I will stamp the word “happy” first. Nope, still a mess (I masked off with micropore tape…maybe that was the problem?). I gave up and used the entire sentiment (it is the only Essentials by Ellen sentiment I have).
I lengthened the stems by stamping twice, it was very easy to match them up. And I substituted copper embossed dots for the bronze on the moodboard.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
