Today is the 25th of April, which means it is time for the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop Challenge (April 2015)!
The inspiration photo brought back memories of high school corsages and boutonnieres made of carnations. I L.O.V.E. carnations. My allergies are tolerant of most carnations (not so much roses & orchids!).
I stamped PTI’s carnations in Blushing Bride (I must admit, my least favorite of Stampin’ Up! pink choices…but it fit for this card) on white cardstock, and then used an aqua brush and ink pad to add color to all of the petals. When dry, I fussy cut the carnations, and mounted them on a navy blue leaf frond background. Sprinkle in a few Swarovski jewels, add a sentiment, a bit of silver metallic thread, and the card pretty much made itself.
