Money Holders – Last Minute Christmas Gifts

elf money holders(click on any photo to enlarge)

We were giving money to two of the offspring as part of their Christmas gifts. Guess who didn’t think about something to put that money in until the morning of Christmas Eve???

Geez. All I can say, is it is a good thing that I can’t seem to sleep later than 3:30am…I have been very productive in the predawn hours the past few weeks.

The flying elf scenes were left over from our family Christmas cards (3 years ago? maybe 4?), already colored. I only had to die cut them to fit where I wanted them.

Here is a peek at the inside:

I am called “Oma” (based on Korean word for Mom, learned from one of Offspring1’s friends), spouse is called “Padre” (all 3 offspring followed in my Spanish language study footsteps – we all have 5 or 6 years of Spanish class under our belts).

When the offspring were little, we had a favorite book, “Pigs Will Be Pigs” by Amy Axelrod, about a family of pigs who wanted to go out to dinner at at their favorite restaurant, the Enchanted Enchilada. They scoured the house looking for loose change to be able to afford their favorite items off the (included) menu.  The offspring were AMAZED that I could speak in another language when reading the menu from the book.  😉
