Gingham and Plaid Thank You Card – Fusion Challenge {merry christmas}

The current Fusion Challenge ({merry christmas}) caught my eye when it was first posted, and I have been struggling trying to find red gingham to use for my project.

I love red gingham. I love most any color gingham, but RED is just so perfect. Blue skies, puffy clouds, a picnic. “Baseball hot dogs apple pie and Chevrolet” kind of advertising bonanza.

Alas, I have no red gingham, and the fabric tape I tried to order was out of stock.

I did have some yellow gingham washi tape. And two blue plaid washi tapes…hmmm….and I needed a thank you card that I am almost late in sending (sorry, Robin, I’ve been a bit under the weather!).

I made a striped banner with my washi tapes, die cut a few flowers, embossed a sentiment, and added a few twinkle sticker stars.

Here is the inspiration photo and sketch:

I was inspired by the gingham ribbon in the photo, and I did pretty much execute the sketch.

Thanks for stopping by!
