Christmas Beetle Gift Tag – Papertrey Ink October 2014 Blog Hop

This month’s Papertrey Ink Blog Hop Challenge gave us multiple color recipes to choose from, and encouraged us to make something for the holidays.

Here is the color recipe I chose:

I decided to make a gift tag. I was really going to make multiple tags of different designs, but, sometimes, these blog hop projects develop a life of their own! I mean really, this tag is an overachiever! All of the elements I was going to use on multiple tags wound up on ONE tag.

Here is the back of the tag:

I die cut 3 stitched rectangles, 6 trees (3 solid, 3 pieced), Beetle, hole reinforcer (for wreath). Trees are stamped in the background, the edge of the snow horizon is highlighted with Wink of Stella. I colored the hole reinforcer to look like a mini wreath. The back is finished with a few snowflakes, and silver embossed To/From.

Here are the Heidi Swapp papers I used:

    • Sorry to confuse! The post was originally longer, going on about the orange VW we had when I learned how to drive…thankfully, I edited myself. 😉
