Today is the Papertrey Ink September 2014 Blog Hop Challenge!
I chose to make a non-traditional holiday card, based on this inspiration photo:
The gray layer is dry embossed (trying to get the texture of the sweater), the blue layer was stamped with PTI’s woodgrain set, silver embossed and die cut twice (once for shape, once to remove circle). A pink layer was cut with the same mat die and attached behind the blue. The sentiment was silver embossed on white and die cut with a circle. The snowflakes are adorned with Swarovski crystals.
The gray sweater reminds me of a boyfriend sweater I had in my work desk in the late 1980’s – there’s a flashback! I did return the sweater…I don’t think he accepted it when we broke up, but when I resigned and left the company, he did allow me to return it.
“Take your cat and leave my sweater…” – Keith Urban, “You’ll Think of Me”.

Lovely card. I really like the embossing and woodgrain. Great use of a much older PTI set.
