Last week’s Papertrey Ink’s Make it Monday #176 was a challenge to make a background using a cover plate and embossing paste.
I don’t have any cover plates (background dies), so I used a small Papertrey Ink die to make a stencil to use with embossing paste.
I used the leftover green embossing paste from the Daisy Birthday Card. I found that I made a mess with it because I kept pushing it under the edge of the handmade stencil. 😦 Thinking my problem was the depth of my stencil, I made a new stencil out of transparency, and still made a mess with the embossing paste. I trimmed off the messy stem and went for two flowers on my card.
But I kept pushing on…and finally got this card made. I even used eyelets from my stash.
