The latest color challenge on Splitcoaststampers is “Really Old Daffodils”…Real Red, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, with dessert option of white embossing.
OOPS! I misread the challenge at 4:30am, and translated “really” into Really Rust instead of Real Red. (drat my memory of Stampin’ Up! retired color names!) So mine is Really Rust, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight.
I went abstract. There are several companies offering abstract watercoloring stamps, I thought I would try to create that look using something I already own.
I stamped Hero Arts Designer Snowflakes in VersaMark on watercolor paper, and embossed with white embossing powder. Then, I watercolored over the snowflakes in loose circles using ink pads and an aquabrush.
