yellow poppies mothers day

Here is a Mother’s Day card that I have created for my mother-in-law. Yellow is her favorite color.

I colored the stems of the flowers using an ink pad and a blender pen, and the blossoms with watercolor crayons and an aquabrush.

I am also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. This week’s theme is “Not so mellow yellow.”

Supplies: Stamps – Stampin’ Up!, paper – Papertrey Ink White, Stampin’ Up! Pear Pizzazz, YoYo Yellow (retired), inks – Stampin’ Up! Pear Pizzazz, VersaFine Onyx Black, Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Crayons, sequins – Doodlebug Designs Inc, washi tape – Stampin’ Up!, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, organdy ribbon – JoAnn’s.
