The latest Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Challenge (#161) is called Watercolor Splats. I see it as more of an exercise to blend inks and then die cut the interesting background that you have created!
I used a Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink Blending Tool (not exactly the right tool) to blend Orchid Opulence and Lovely Lilac on PTI White cardstock. I then applied the mandatory water drops and let it dry.
I cut out the “thank you”, mounted the blended background on silver paper and glued in the tiny die pieces.
I must admit, I LOVE the background, but I loved it more without the watercolor splats!
Supplies: Paper – Papertrey Ink White, Stampin’ Up! Brushed Silver, inks – Stampin’ Up! Lovely Lilac (retired), Orchid Opulence (retired), die – Papertrey Ink.
