58th Anniversary Card, Terps Theme

58 anniversary stump

My parents are celebrating their 58th anniversary this coming weekend. WOW. I decided to make this card a University of Maryland Terrapin theme. Why, you ask? Well, neither of them attended Maryland, neither did I, neither did my sibling. My Dad has been a Maryland fan since the 1970’s (I don’t remember him following college sports prior to that, perhaps they were more commonly televised beginning in the 1970’s?). When the Colts left Baltimore in 1984, my parents got University of Maryland football season tickets to replace their Colts season tickets. Thirty years have gone by, and after this past fall season, they decided to not renew their Terps season tickets.

I think it is to protest the University of Maryland moving from the ACC to the Big Ten. 😉  Not really…although, the conference change presents the perfect break away point. A changing of the guard.

Thanks for stopping by!
