I get Lands’ End marketing e-mails every day…do you? Wednesday’s came through with this lovely graphic:
This had to make it onto paper!
Marketing rant: Every day my inbox gets filled with NEW product offers. I know I can turn these off, but sometimes they do provide me with inspiration. This week has been (seemingly) every stamp company’s countdown to release of NEW products. I get it, they are in business to tempt us and to make money. I also listened to a Q & A interview with a well known graphic artist in the industry on Wednesday. Someone asked, “do you have a favorite go-to stamp set that you have kept over time?” Her answer was, “No, I only use NEW products.” Her job requires her to use new products, she is helping create the projects that make us want the NEW stuff. That made me really sad, I have some stamps that I would never dream of giving away (like these A Muse Artstamps Tiny Flower and Long Grass stamps).
(And yes, some of the companies do “revisit” stamps/supplies in addition to showing you new things on occasion, just not during new release preview week. Yesterday’s card was a challenge (Papertrey Ink) to use a die in a different way than originally intended)
Sigh. I suppose I have just been overwhelmed by March 2014 release week!
