Orchid Watercolor Birthday Card

Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2014 is Radiant Orchid.

I pulled out my Stampin’ Up! Orchid Opulence (retired) reinker and paper and created this card. Radiant Orchid seems (by my computer monitor, anyway) to be a little more pink than Orchid Opulence.

I am amazed at the subtle differences between “new” and “retired” colors. Yes, side by side, the differences are visible. If you substitute one for the other in a project, not so visible!
