Penguin Christmas Cards

For whatever reason, I always get a really late start on the Christmas cards that my Mom requests that I make for her and my Dad to send. And I make my cards after I finish the ones for my parents. #cueholidaystress

Here is what I came up with for them this year. I always end up going more complex than I really have time to do! I think that is because I am so personally attached to these cards.

My goal was to use retired Stampin’ Up! colors (to get rid of paper, and to not have to purchase anything new). Half of the cards were made from retired colors (Cool Caribbean, Taken With Teal). I also got rid of a sheet of textured Bazzill that has been in my stash for at least 5 years. By using an assortment of base colors, I was able to meet my goal.

  1. These are really cute. Using up stash is always good. I mailed my cards yesterday. Can’t wait to get feedback. I’ll be sure to share.
