I decided to give the latest Deconstructed Sketch, DS128, a try. I am so glad I did – I really like this card!
The sketch called for a second, smaller circle, and I made a faux coin to use. First, I cut a circle out of Brushed Gold card stock, then I embossed it with an embossing folder. Finally, I punched a hole out of the center. I was inspired by two coins in our international coin jar (husband has done a lot of international travel…we have a mug of foreign currency) that have holes in them.
The coin on the left is a 5 yen piece from Japan, the one on the right is a 1 krone piece from Denmark. I made embossed circles from copper, silver and gold card stock, and decided gold worked best with my project. (click on the photo to enlarge)
And it is always a good day when I can use a tag out of my stash! 😉
