Paper and Ink Imaginings

Shiba Inu Card

bite my fluffy tail

I have recently purchased several stamp sets and die sets that contain speech bubbles. I am happy to be able to make my stamps say something specific and personal.

In 2008, while reading the Everyday Chit Chat Forum at SplitcoastStampers, I ran across the link to the Shiba Inu Puppy Cam. I shared the link with all the Offspring, the puppies were (still are!) such fun to watch. Offspring2 and I still check the webcam every day. If I was not allergic to dogs, I’m thinking I would have caved to the demand to have a Shiba Inu by now!

This dog stamp is from A Muse ArtStamps. I don’t think it is exactly a Shiba Inu, but it does have characteristics that remind us of Shibas (those ears, the shape of the head & face), so I use it often on cards for Offspring2.

Offspring2 will be living on campus next semester (not living at home, commuting to the local community college). I’m sure we will communicate often via Facebook messages and phone texts, but I will miss the spur of the moment laughter shared watching the dogs. I will mail the card to campus after spring semester begins.

I embossed the speech bubble, and wrote the sentiment by hand.
