Paper and Ink Imaginings

Live in the Moment Card

live in the moment

Friday spent in the ER and the ICU waiting for medical personnel to decide how to help gets you thinking about TIME.

And the flip side of TIME. Have you had enough time? Are you ready to let go (whether it is you or a family member)? That is where this card came from.

I embossed the clocks on watercolor paper, then washed over the clocks with blue and purple ink (and the purple ink separated into muddy blue and black).

I saw my father yesterday – he looks pretty good. My mother looks more relaxed than the day we got him home.

Supplies: Stamps – Hero Arts, Stampers Best, paper – Papertrey Ink White, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, watercolor paper (source unknown), ink – Stampin’ Up! Brilliant Blue (retired), Lovely Lilac (retired), VersaFine Onyx Black, VersaMark, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, twine – Michael’s.

  1. Very cool card. I like how you embossed the clocks in white and then inked over them. Great technique. One I should try more often.

    • Thank you! I have to say, I was inspired by other blogs I read. Several posts this week used embossing on watercolor paper with different techniques for backgrounds.
